ABC Television suspends Whoopi Goldberg from The View for saying The Holocaust was not about Racism Guest: David Rubin

Intro: ABC Television has suspended Whoopi Goldberg from co-hosting The View for saying the extermination of six million Jews in The Holocaust was not Racism, inferring that if you are not black, you cannot be a victim of discrimination. Reportedly Whoppi said you couldn’t tell a Jew from their skin.

Backstage, liberal Joy Behar, showed disgust over Whoppi’s callous comments, expressing that Whoppi may not recover from her racist statement.

And what was the comment Whoppie made to trigger national outrage? . Two, actually. 1) She said The Holocaust wasn’t about race, insisting that it was merely man’s inhumanity to man.” 2) She said The Nazi genocide of the Jews involved “two groups of white people.”

Whoppie gave a half-baked apology the first time, then a second one that didn’t go much further, so perhaps after two weeks, she might get it right the third time.

The two-week suspension was announced by ABC president Kim Godwin who said ABC stands with the Jewish community.

Here to discuss this topic is David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and author of “Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn From Israel.”

Q&A:

1)      What sparked Whoppi’s controversial comments?

Answer: There was a discussion about a Tennessee school board’s ban of a graphic novel about Nazi death camps in World War II.

2)What was Ms. Goldberg’s exact quote?

Answer: “If you’re going to do this, then let’s be truthful about it. Because the Holocaust isn’t about race, no, it’s not about race.”

3)Was Whoopi Goldberg correct that the Holocaust wasn’t about race and that it was just what she claimed was about what one group of white people did to another?

Answer: No, her comments were absolutely ignorant. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis promoted the concept that the Jews are an inferior race and need to be killed, and he did that, killing six million Jews in the death camps that he built for that purpose.

  1. Why would she make such a mistake in saying that it wasn’t about race?
Answer: Part of the problem is that the radical Left in America has pushed this message that if it’s not against black people, it can’t be Racism, which is nonsense. After all, Hitler isolated the Jews, who are multi-racial people, and identified us as an inferior race that needs to be killed. As the host of one of the most popular shows in America, Whoopi should at least know that most basic bit of history.

  1. Do you believe Whoopi Goldberg anti-Semitic?

Answer:  I don’t think so, but again, we are talking about the ignorance that comes from this false definition of Racism as only being prejudiced or hatred of black people. The fact is that there are more hate crimes in America against Jews than any other ethnic group.

  1. You and your son were victims of violent anti-Semitism. Tell us about that.
