Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin discusses the Palestinian Authority President’s proposed solution to the Israel/Hamas war. But would it work?
The Israel/Hamas conflict has been going for quite some time now – and sadly, there appears to be no end in sight. However, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas previously presented a solution that he believes will resolve everything. But…would it?
Abbas didn’t hold back on pointing the finger at Hamas, even calling them “sons of dogs” at one point. But what he proposed to resolve the conflict was crystal clear.
“The first priority is to stop the war of extermination in Gaza,” he noted. “It must be stopped – hundreds are being killed every day. Why don’t you hand over the American hostages?”
He stated Hamas should “release those you’re holding and put an end to this story. Shut down their (Israel’s) excuses. End it.”
“(They) must hand over Gaza responsibilities and hand over its arms to the responsibility to Palestinian Authority and transform into a political party,” he added.
But would that work? Would Israel really trust Abbas and the Palestinian Authority ruling Gaza? And what about the Trump plan?
