California’s Strict Gun Laws Aren’t Stopping “Active Shooter” Events – So Now What? (Guest: Second Amendment Foundation)

A representative for Second Amendment Foundation explains why Gov. Gavin Newsom needs to find an alternative solution.

Governor Gavin Newsom believes that setting strict gun laws for California would slow down “active shooter” events. He’s wrong

new report from ABC News explains that a number of shootings have taken place in the state over the past month, including one at Half Moon Bay that led to the deaths of seven people.

Matthew Lang, a professor of Economics from the University of California Riverside and a specialist in firearm studies, explained, “California is known for having strict gun laws, but it is not surprising that guns are prevalent in the state.”

Even as Gov. Newsom trumpeted how the state “led the way” for gun safety regulations, these new rules don’t seem to influence stopping violence. So now what?

With us now is a representative from Second Amendment Foundation to comment further on the situation. They firmly believe in everyone’s right to bear arms, and continuously challenge government groups that try to revoke those rights . Their expertise will prove useful in this matter.
