Mamdani Wants Help In Arresting Netanyahu

In a video posted on social media, the New York Mayor asked for assistance with charging the Israeli Prime Minister for “war crimes.”

After a couple of days of looking over the situation with his team, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani didn’t hold back on insisting that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be arrested for his “war crimes.” And Founder and President of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin is keeping a close eye on the situation.

In a video posted on his X account (and other social media channels), Mamdani noted his administration “has reviewed every avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here.”

Despite his research into the matter, however, he noted, “It is clear that we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant. The federal government, however, does, and I call on them to join the ICC and execute this warrant.”

In his statement, Mamdani made it clear that “Netanyahu is not welcome in New York City, nor is any other war criminal at large.”

At the moment, Netanyahu is scheduled to visit the United Nations’ general assembly in New York later this year. The real question is, by that point, if Mamdani will find the support to get the job done.

President Donald Trump certainly isn’t a fan, making it clear earlier this week that Netanyahu “will not be arrested, in any way, shape or form,” following hints that Mamdani might be looking into an arrest.

So what happens now? Rubin joins us now to discuss this situation further. Welcome, Mayor Rubin!

Q&A:

  1. Does Mamdani have any reasoning behind his desire to have Netanyahu arrested for “war crimes”? Or is this merely part of his political campaign against Donald Trump?
  2. What do you think about the ICC’s accusations surrounding these “war crimes”? Are they unwarranted?
  3. Do you believe Mamdani will find support from anyone within the federal government to have Netanyahu arrested?
  4. Should Netanyahu attend the U.N. general assembly when it takes place later this year in New York? What would happen if he did not attend?
  5. Trump has already made it clear that Netanyahu “will not be arrested,” period. Could that potentially prompt someone on the Democratic side to try and assist Mamdani, just to irk him further?
  6. Where do you see the conflict between Iran, Israel and the United States going in the months ahead? Will the situation get worse before it gets better?
  7. Tell us more about your work with the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund and how it can help those in need.
  8. Where can we learn more about you and the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund?

About David Rubin…

David Rubin and his three-year-old son, narrowly escaped heinous deaths at the hands of terrorists. Had it not been for his car suddenly starting, Rubin and his son would not have been so fortunate. The younger Rubin deals with the trauma to this day. That experience is what led David to establish the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, to help other young victims of Islamic terrorism, who need to process and deal with their trauma. Rubin, also the former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel is the author of seven books, including his latest, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel, which has recently been made into a movie. Rubin is the founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, established after he and his then three-year-old son were wounded in a terror attack.
