Intro: While many elections have yet to be called, results in the Lone Star state are in and they show massive losses for gun control advocates. Despite Bloomberg pouring millions of dollars into statewide races to flip the Texas House and take out pro-gun Congressmen, Second Amendment supporters turned out in strong numbers to vote for Gun Owners’ Choice candidates, according the Gun Owners of America. Mike Hammond joins us for further discussions on the election outcomes for pro-gun candidates.
Q&A:
- After spending a billion dollars in his own national presidential race, former mayor Bloomberg didn’t win a single state. Next, he decided to spend millions of dollars in his own money to try to flip the pro-gun vote to a bunch of gun-grabbers. How’d that work out?
Answer: “In Congress, Bloomberg targeted gun rights champion Chip Roy, bankrolling gun control darling Wendy Davis,” Malone continued. “But thankfully, Roy was reelected by more than twice as big a margin as in 2018!”
- What about the Texas House?
Answer: “At the state level, pollsters were claiming that gun controller advocates were set to take over the Texas House but, as current numbers show, none of the State Representative incumbents endorsed by Gun Owners of America lost a seat and anti-gunners remain in the minority.”
- What is the outlook for gun rights in Texas?
“These results show us that it’s time for Texas to stand strong and restore our gun freedoms. It’s time to pass Constitutional Carry and end ‘gun-free’ zones in Texas and nationwide.”
- Where may we get more information on Gun Owners of America?
