The Iran Resolution: What Next Steps Come With Netanyahu and Trump? (Guest: David Rubin)

The former Mayor of Shiloh discusses the upcoming meeting, and what resolution needs to be found when it comes to the threats of Iran.

Even though U.S. President Donald Trump believes talks are going “very well” with Iran when it comes to some of their armaments, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes a better resolution must be found.

Netanyahu confirmed that he will meet with Trump this Wednesday to discuss all things surrounding Iran. His office noted, “The Prime Minister believes that all negotiations must include limiting the ballistic missiles, and ending support for the Iranian axis.”

While a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is taking place – and with steps forward coming from it, including hostage releases and the opening of Rafah’s Crossing – Iran remains a heavy concern. This is especially given the growing number of protests within in, and the hostile reaction that has come from it.

With said hostility, talks should continue, with “the resolution of the main issues” needing to “take place in a calm atmosphere, without tension and without threats,” according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi explained before the weekend. But the question is this – can Netanyahu and Trump assure that Iran will reach that point? Or will further escalation be necessary?

Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin joins us now to discuss this situation further, and if a true resolution can be found. Welcome, Mayor Rubin!
