Pornography AI Warning from Expert Guest

Alt Man Rising: When Code Becomes Flesh and Conscience goes Offline

Pornography is alive and well. It’s also getting a boost from artificial intelligence and just like AI, no one is responsible, apparently. America’s moral decay is once again on full display, this time through the words of OpenAI’s Sam Altman. When confronted with questions about the ethics of artificial intelligence, Altman offered a familiar dodge: “We are not the moral police of the world.” To Jim Harden, that statement encapsulates everything wrong with modern America — a nation that has forgotten the moral foundations that once defined it.

“This is a cop-out,” Harden says plainly. “As a moral people, we legislate morality all the time. It’s why murder is not legal.” The notion that morality can be separated from governance or technology, he argues, is both absurd and dangerous. It reflects a cultural rot so deep that even our leaders and innovators no longer feel bound by a sense of right and wrong.

Pornography is real.

For Harden, the issue isn’t just Altman’s words — it’s what those words reveal about the broader state of our society. “It’s ownership without responsibility,” he explains. “We’ve built systems of enormous influence and power, but we’ve divorced them from accountability. That’s how cultures collapse.” Altman’s attempt to absolve himself of moral authority is not a gesture of humility, Harden says, but a symptom of moral cowardice — the refusal to stand for something when it matters most.

Pornography isn’t just getting a bad rap.

The problem is bigger than one tech CEO. It’s the soil that produced him. A culture that mocks virtue, blurs truth, and treats morality as a matter of personal taste inevitably breeds leaders who view ethics as optional. “We have people in positions of authority who not only tolerate moral confusion but actively facilitate it,” Harden says. “They want this rot to continue because it benefits them. A people without moral standards are much easier to control.”

Pornography isn’t just about magazines anymore.

In Harden’s view, America must reclaim its moral compass before it loses the capacity to recognize right from wrong altogether. That begins by rejecting the false notion that morality cannot be legislated. Every law, from prohibiting murder to protecting free speech, is built on a moral judgment. To deny that is to deny the essence of justice itself.

“When Altman says, ‘We’re not the moral police,’ he’s really saying, ‘We refuse to take responsibility for the power we wield,’” Harden concludes. “And that’s exactly how civilizations fall — not from lack of intelligence, but from lack of integrity.”

AI is taking pornography up a notch.
