Netanyahu Standing His Ground For Israel!

Former Mayor of Shiloh David Rubin discusses the Israeli Prime Minister’s speech at the United Nations, and why he should hold firm despite opposition.

Right before the weekend, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the United Nations, ready to explain his stance on what’s happening in the war with Hamas. And despite many delegates refusing to listen to what he had to say, he remained defiant in his message.

“Western leaders may have buckled under the pressure,” he noted, surrounding some abandoning their support in favor of Palestinian statehood. “And I guarantee you one thing: Israel won’t.”

He continued to push for Israel to “finish the job” when it came to its conflict in Gaza, and that his military was “not done yet.”

“The final remnants of Hamas are holed up in Gaza City. They vow to repeat the atrocities of Oct. 7,” he said. “That is why Israel must finish the job. That is why we want to do so.”

He also pushed against the idea of a Palestinian state, which many other countries are stating belief in. He called it “sheer madness, it’s insane and we won’t do it.”

He added, “What you’re doing is giving the ultimate reward to intolerant fanatics who perpetrated and supported the Oct. 7 massacre.”

And while U.S. President Donald Trump continues to try and push for a ceasefire with Hamas, Netanyahu was much more direct. “To the remaining Hamas leaders and jailers of our hostages, I now say: lay down your arms, let my people go. Free the hostages, all of them. … If you do, you will live. If you don’t, Israel will hunt you down.”

Many have mixed feelings about Netanyahu’s statements at the U.N. But there are some believe that standing his ground is exactly what he should be doing right now.

Joining us now to discuss this further is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, Mayor Rubin.
