Jim Crow James / Guest: Jim Harden

New York’s SLAPP Happy, Black AG Letitia Whitewashes KKK Act

New York Attorney General Letitia James is finding herself at the center of a growing storm—this time not for her relentless crusade against Donald Trump, but for what Rev. Jim Harden calls a brazen violation of the Third Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871. The irony is stunning: a Black female AG, wielding government power to crush political and religious minorities, under the very law passed 150 years ago to stop such abuses of power.

The 1871 Act—passed in response to Klan terror campaigns aimed at silencing freedmen and their allies—was designed to protect citizens against government officials who conspire to strip constitutional rights. Today, Harden argues, James is doing precisely that: silencing disfavored voices through illegal SLAPP lawsuits. And in New York, SLAPPing is against the law.

“Many people argue that lawfare is unethical but not necessarily illegal,” Harden said. “In this case SLAPPing IS illegal and James is using it as a form of lawfare so the top law enforcement entity in New York is illegally targeting her own citizens. It’s really unprecedented, in addition to being palpably ironic.”

Harden, CEO of CompassCare, has already endured firebombings by Antifa and censorship by Big Tech. Now, James has brought a baseless fraud suit against his pro-life medical network, echoing her lawfare against Trump. Both cases rest on invented “crimes” that don’t exist in statute, manufactured to punish ideological opponents. In both cases, she shopped for Manhattan judges known to be sympathetic to her cause, bypassing normal venue rules to secure favorable ground.

But Harden and his allies are striking back. In a move that could be historic, they’ve filed an anti-SLAPP suit against the Attorney General herself—potentially the first such case in the nation’s history. If successful, it will expose James not just as a political opportunist, but as a lawbreaker who has weaponized the justice system for partisan ends.

“This isn’t just about pro-lifers,” Harden warns. “If James can collude with judges to shut down speech she dislikes, no one’s rights are safe. That is exactly why Congress passed the KKK Act in the first place.”

The irony is unmistakable: Letitia James, a Black Attorney General, is accused of violating a law written to protect Black citizens from powerful officials abusing their office. The lack of self-awareness is staggering, and the hypocrisy could spark calls for her impeachment and indictment.

For Harden, the message is simple: If we let James get away with this, the Constitution itself is on the chopping block.

HOME – NY Attorney General Must Go

OPTIONAL Q&A:

  1. How can New York’s Attorney General justify weaponizing the justice system against pro-life groups while ignoring SLAPP laws that clearly prohibit this behavior?
  2. Isn’t it the height of irony that a black Attorney General is now accused of violating the very law—the 3rd KKK Act of 1871—created to protect black citizens from government persecution?
  3. What does it say about Letitia James’ priorities that she targets CompassCare, which was already firebombed by Antifa, instead of prosecuting the violent criminals responsible?
  4. Why is James allowed to “judge shop” for a sympathetic Manhattan court, the same venue where Trump was prosecuted under charges that don’t exist in law?
  5. If the FDA itself is re-examining the safety of chemical abortion, how can James credibly claim CompassCare’s medically supported warnings are “fraudulent”?
  6. Is this the first time in New York history that an anti-SLAPP motion has been filed against the Attorney General—and what precedent could that set?
  7. How can James accuse CompassCare of deception when 16 peer-reviewed studies back up their education efforts on abortion pill reversal?
  8. If James is found guilty of violating the 3rd KKK Act, what are the implications for her political career—and for the abuse of law enforcement power nationwide?
