DNC Member Admits What we all Know; Biden not in charge – But Why Now?
Lindy Li is a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In particular, she is part of the group’s National Finance Committee. Seemingly out of left field and with less than a month before Joe Biden is scheduled to leave office, Li is the source of a bombshell claim from behind enemy lines.
Here, at the 11th hour, the DNC member levied the charge that Biden is not fully in charge of the country and that a ‘shadow Presidency’ and that ‘senior advisers’ are ‘running the country’. What’s puzzling more than anything is the timing? Since Biden stole won the 2020 election, it has been obvious he has been the victim of significant cognitive decline and that handlers were running the show.
“So why is this DNC person coming out one month before the inauguration?” asks Max McGuire, political commentator and author of The Conservative’s Guide to Winning Every Immigration Argument. The fact is that when the establishment wants to knock one of its own off their perch, it will do so. Earlier this year, the mainstream media focused its cameras and its criticism on Biden during his debate with Donald Trump. “That really was the beginning of the end for Biden,” McGuire said.
Whatever the motive for Li to call out Biden’s ‘Shadow presidency’ now, it makes little to no political sense. That is, unless, it has to do with the petty power plays of the DNC. Do the Democrats want the first woman president to be Kamala Harris, even if only for a month? Perhaps it’s as petty as having to get the Republican Party to change all of that Trump 47 memorabilia to Trump 48.
Lindy Li’s accusations may signal deeper fractures within the Democratic Party than previously thought. Her claims about a “shadow presidency” could be more than just a dramatic revelation—they might be evidence of a brewing power struggle. For a sitting member of the DNC, particularly one as embedded as a National Finance Committee member, to make such a bold statement suggests that dissent is no longer limited to whispers behind closed doors.
Political observers have long noted the strained dynamics within the Democratic Party, especially between the moderate and progressive wings. Could Li’s remarks reflect that internal discord? If so, her timing may be an attempt to position herself or her allies for greater influence in the post-Biden era. Alternatively, her comments may reflect a faction’s frustration with the administration’s perceived failures or an attempt to distance themselves from the fallout of Biden’s presidency.
The question of succession looms large. Kamala Harris, as vice president, is the obvious beneficiary of any move to sideline Biden. Yet her approval ratings have been historically low, raising doubts about her viability as a leader. If Li’s claims are aimed at paving the way for Harris, the DNC may be betting on the symbolic power of breaking the presidential glass ceiling, even if only briefly.
Meanwhile, Republicans have seized on Li’s comments as validation of their long-standing criticisms of Biden’s leadership. The idea of a “puppet president” has been a rallying cry for the GOP since the 2020 campaign, and Li’s statement serves as unexpected ammunition.
As the political world watches this drama unfold, one thing is certain: Lindy Li’s remarks have opened a Pandora’s box of speculation, potentially reshaping the narrative around Biden’s presidency in its final days.
