Biden Trying to Sell Off Border Wall Materials to Prevent Construction
When Donald Trump left office, he left behind miles and miles-worth of border wall construction materials. Not only did Joe Biden refuse to use these materials to build or repair border wall sections, but the Biden administration is now scrambling to sell-off these materials as scrap before Trump can take office.
The reason for this is obvious: If Trump inherits these sections of uninstalled border wall, he could begin border wall construction almost immediately upon taking office.
If, however, the border wall sections are sold off, then Trump would need to start from scratch, either by begging Congress for appropriations or utilizing discretionary funding (like he did last time). Despite the mandate that Trump received in the election, any attempt to secure funding for the border wall will likely receive significant push back in Congress.
Considering that enemies of the United States – including state actors and drug cartels – are taking advantage of our unsecured border, the Biden administration’s plan to sell-off the materials as scrap is borderline treason.
What can Trump do? He can make it very clear that any government official or contractor who participates in this sabotage will be fired on January 20th.
Trump or his allies can also buy the materials and then “gift” it to the federal government, but that is such an unorthodox move, it’s unclear whether it’s even doable.
Even if this is fixable, it is a stark reminder how the Left and their Centrist Allies will not go quietly, and the lengths to which they will go to stop Donald Trump from securing the border.
