Antony Blinken Is Still Hoping For a Ceasefire In Israel – But Will He Get It? (Guest: Mark Biltz)

The pastor and author discusses the U.S. Secretary of State’s desire for a solution, and why it may be harder to achieve than expected.

Amidst an escalating war between Israel and Hezbollah/Iran, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is still trying to find some level of peace.

In a recent statement, Blinken noted that he expects “negotiators will be getting together in the coming days” to discuss a potential ceasefire and deal that will see the release of hostages.

Blinken believes that the way forward “involves an assessment of exactly where Hamas stands in the wake of” the death of its leader, Yahya Sinwar. “We talked about options to capitalize on this moment and the next steps to move the process forward.”

Blinken believes that a deal could be put together “in the coming days.” But…will it?

There’s been talks of ceasefire before. And each time, it appears that Israel wasn’t looking to see eye-to-eye with its enemy. So will that change with Blinken’s new push? Or is it a lost cause?

Joining us now to discuss this further is Pastor Mark Biltz, an author and the founder and Senior Pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington State. His experience should prove useful in this conversation. Welcome, Mark.
