The law enforcement veteran discusses what’s happening at the Gateway Hotel – and what needs to happen next.
Just weeks after reports appeared online regarding Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes in Colorado, it appears that a new one has managed to overtake an entire hotel in Texas.
According to The Epoch Times, the Tren de Aragua gang has managed to seize the Gateway Hotel, which they are utilizing for illegal criminal activities. Texas authorities are acting quickly on the matter, filing a lawsuit and calling all within it to vacate.
Border Patrol chief Jason Owens noted on X/Twitter, “Watch out for this gang. It is the most powerful in Venezuela, known for murder, drug trafficking, sex crimes, extortion and other violent acts.”
This is the latest action by the gang in the United States, since President Joe Biden’s border policy simply lets them in with very little punishment. But with incidents like these becoming more commonplace, isn’t it time that he stepped in to address the matter before more innocent people become misplaced – or even killed?
