The law enforcement veteran believes there is more than enough reason to be worried about cartels operating in our country.
Ever since the Border Crisis escalated beyond belief a while back, there’s been concern about growing cartels operating within the United States. And it appears that this concern is escalating rapidly, even though current President Joe Biden has no plans to do anything about it.
Chief Investigator Jay J. Armes III, who’s with Armes International Investigative Services, is perplexed how the U.S. even got to this point. “The open border and the huge influx of illegal aliens that we’re having right now is creating a perfect environment for the cartels,” he explained.
“The cartels are sending manpower from Mexico into the United States to all different parts of the United States to fill positions in their organizations,” he said. “Before they had to smuggle their manpower in one, two, three, five at a time. Now it’s like a water hose.”
Adding to this conversation is former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, David DeVillers, who explained just how out of hand the cartels have become in his home state.
“In Ohio, it’s the Sinaloa Cartel that controls key destination cities like Dayton and Columbus,” he said. “Columbus is strategically located, an hour from major cities like Cincinnati and Cleveland, making it an ideal hub for drug distribution.”
And even in Arizona, cartels are a serious problem. Arizona State Senator Janae Shamp explained, “We need to designate the cartels as terrorist organizations. That will allow us to disrupt their profits which is their motivation behind these heinous crimes. The heartbreaking reality is that humans can be sold over and over again, while drugs can only be sold once. That is why the cartels are so heavily invested.”
She also calls for legislatures to “continue to increase penalties,” and asked for voters to consider voting for a life sentence in prison for those that are “convicted of the most egregious forms of child sex trafficking.”
