UCLA issued a statement May 2 at 3 a.m. Thursday threatening dismissal for students and disciplinary action for faculty who refuse to leave. California Highway Patrol officers later began arresting students and faculty and removed them from the premises.
The situation grew increasingly hostile after video surfaced of the antisemitic students beating a female Jewish student unconscious. It was just one of a number of attacks and harassments caught on tape.
