The 12-person jury is set to hear the criminal case against a former president, the first time in history this has occurred. Former President Donald Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and could face four years in prison.
But a conviction does not keep Trump from becoming president again. It would, however, make him a convicted felon, something the Biden administration would be sure to exploit.
Trump argues he’s done nothing wrong and many voters see this as a dubious attempt to keep him out of the race.
Here to discuss the situation further is Kenin Spivak, a writer for American Mind, the magazine of the Claremont Institute. Spivak’s knowledge of the trial, as well as his overall conservative geopolitical analysis, makes him an ideal guest for this subject. Welcome, Kenin!
