China Looks More Into Its “Sovereignty and Safety” As It Looks Towards a New Alliance With Belarus (Guest: Nan Su)

The Epoch Times’ investigative reporter discusses the country’s attempt at stronger ties with Belarus, as well as its latest criticism against the United States.

China is looking into working with other countries – even if its criticism against the United States continues to build.

Reuters recently reported that Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko recently met with China leader Xi Jinping, marking the second time this year he has done so. The goal of the meeting was to work with the country on its economic ties, as well as to “strengthen strategic cooperation.”

It’s Jinping’s latest attempt at working with a country on international ties, though it comes in the face of its latest criticism towards America. NBC News recently reportedthat its military noted a U.S. warship “illegally” entering its waters near the Second Thomas Shoal earlier this week.

“The U.S. infringes China’s sovereignty and safety, disrupts regional peace and stability and violates international law and the basic norms of international relations,” a spokesman for the country noted about the incident.

So what does this mean as a whole? Joining us to discuss this further is Nan Su, a senior investigative reporter for The Epoch Times. His knowledge in all things China will prove useful for this discussion.
