The Epoch Times’ Kevin Stocklin discusses his latest report, which discusses information that’s considered “politicized and contaminated.”
While COVID-19 has come and gone, reports regarding the lockdowns from it continue to make the rounds.
According to a new report from The Epoch Times, various physicians and academicians have been attempting to publish studies discussing the downside of having the COVID lockdowns in place. However, they have been unable to publish said studies, with attention instead being turned to those that praise the effects of shutting down businesses, schools and churches.
“The whole scientific review process on anything related to COVID-19 has become highly politicized and contaminated,” Steve Hanke, professor of economics at Johns Hopkins University and former member of the Council of Economic Advisors under President Reagan, told The Epoch Times.
Granted, this isn’t the first time that official reports criticizing COVID lockdowns have come under fire. Last month, a federal appeals court noted that the White House, along with the CDC, the FBI and even the U.S. surgeon general, “likely violated the First Amendment” when it demanded social media companies censor messages that were critical to official government narratives on COVID. The judge ordered Biden and his cohorts not to “coerce or significantly encourage a platform’s content-moderation decisions.”
Still, even with this judgment in place, someone appears to be stopping criticisms of COVID lockdowns from finding their way to publication, instead opting for those that praise the government for their decisions.
Kevin Stocklin, the reporter who wrote the initial piece, joins us now to discuss this matter further.
Q&A:
- Do you believe the Biden administration or one of their supporting bureaus are responsible for critical lockdown pieces from making their way into publication?
- Doesn’t this seem like a controversial choice, especially considering the federal judge ruling against the Biden administration in court just a month prior?
- What do you think Biden and his fellow government agents have to fear from reports that are critical of lockdown procedures?
- Is it possible that the potential publishers of these report could go after the Biden administration and his bureaus legally? Or are they stuck between a rock and a hard place?
- Could Biden and his associates simply be lining up this positive coverage in case another lockdown needs to take place from COVID variants?
