1000-page Report from the House GOP Shows How Flawed The FBI Is When Investigating Crimes Against Pro-Life Centers (Guest: Jim Harden)

CompassCare CEO Jim Harden shows concern for what the FBI is doing with its investigation into a recent firebombing

With so many questions surrounding the effectiveness of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as of late, a new report may bring even more into the fray.

According to a new report from Axios, the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee prepared a 1,000-page document released today. In it are a number of details surrounding the “politicization” of the FBI and Justice Department under the administration of President Joe Biden.

Representative Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) helped compile the Report, which takes a closer look at statements from FBI whistleblowers detailing the problematic issues surrounding the use of agency resources for political purposes. It has come under fire for a number of reasons as of late, namely with the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago compound earlier this summer and slow investigation work into 150 criminal acts against pro-life organizations – such as the firebombing of pro-life medical center CompassCare in Buffalo.

Here to speak to us about this situation is Rev. James Harden, M. Div., who serves as the CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services. He also pioneered the first measurable and repeatable medical model in the pregnancy center movement. He explains why this Report could shine a light on the FBI’s doings – and accelerate resolving problems surrounding it.

Q&A:

  1. What do you think about the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a whole? Have they been “falling behind” on their own procedures, or is there something else keeping them from effectively doing their job?
  2. Some may simply see this as a “desperate” move by the Republicans to get them some leverage heading into next week’s election. But do you think there’s a deeper purpose in them taking a closer look at what the FBI is doing?
  3. You’ve seen firsthand some frustrations surrounding the FBI and police failing to arrest a suspect in a firebombing of a CompassCare location in Buffalo earlier this summer. What makes you so frustrated about all of this?
  4. By comparison, crimes against Planned Parenthood and other pro-choice centers seem to have more accelerated results. Do you see this as being potentially biased?
  5. What do you hope will come from the Report? A new direction for the FBI? Improvements to ongoing investigations? Or something else?
  6. Where can we learn more about CompassCare and its services?
