With Massive Protests in Iran, Does Trump Really Want to Negotiate With the Ayatollah?

In the shadow of the targeted killing of Qassem Soleimani, followed by the impotent Iranian response, is the scenario of negotiation off the table? President Trump is saying publicly that he “couldn’t care less if Iran negotiates.”

Is that really true or is it all just psychological warfare being carried out by a president on fire who wants to bring the Ayatollah to his knees?

For more on this, let’s go to Jerusalem, to Middle East expert David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh in Israel and author of the book, “Trump and the Jews”.

Suggested Q&A:

  1. Can we believe President Trump when he says that he doesn’t care to negotiate with Iran? It’s important to understand that given the latest developments on the ground, the word Iran has dual meanings. There is a mass popular rebellion taking place in the streets of by the people of Iran. Trump doesn’t need to negotiate with the regime, since he now has several simultaneous strategies in what has become a very complex game of chess, at which Trump excels.
  2. Isn’t this a chance to bring the regime to the negotiating table? I remember once I wanted to buy a stock that was priced relatively low, and my brother, who runs an investment firm called Hawkeye Capital, told me to wait until the stock decreases further in value. Trump understands astutely that the Iran regime is sinking, both amongst its people and with heavy pressure from the Trump administration. He would be wise to wait patiently until he can dictate the terms of a possibly peaceful resolution of the conflict.
  3. Doesn’t waiting excessively run the risk of Iran getting the nuclear bomb and creating further havoc in the Middle East? I guarantee you that President Trump has his eye on the clock, and American intelligence, as well as their good friends in Israeli intelligence will know when the military option is needed.
  4.  What about the latest Iranian threats to attack Israel? The Iranian regime is so absorbed right now with trying to suppress the massive protests in the streets of Iran that they don’t have the time or focus to fight Israel. While they may try to use their Hezbollah terrorist surrogates, in Lebanon, just north of Israel, to attack our tiny country, I’m sure they know that we have a very powerful military, along with the know-how to deliver missiles that know how to hit their targets.
  5. Where can people get a copy of your book “Trump and the Jews”? They can go to www.DavidRubinIsrael.com  or just go to Amazon.com and type in the words “Trump and the Jews”.
