Will Biden’s Energy Agenda Reduce Americans’ Standard of Living? (Guest: Kevin Stocklin)

The director of The Epoch Times’ latest documentary The Shadow State weighs in on corporate strength – and whether that could play a part in government partnerships.

Even with what’s happening today with inflation and a potential recession around the corner, the corporate world continues to move forward with billions of dollars in revenue and new deals here and there. But at what point do governments become involved?

We’ve seen a great deal of growth in the ESG industry, which stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. It’s a multi-trillion-dollar power structure that brings together governments with corporations. We’ve already seen a few deals go through, but with the way the corporate world continues to build up, could we see more?

The big question is who benefits? Big Corporations!  Big Government!  but where does this leave consumers? Will they benefit from such a large corporate structure? Or potentially deal with shortages, poverty and political instability?

With us now to discuss the possibilities of what’s to come through 2023 is Kevin Stocklin, a former Wall Street banker turned film producer. He recently released a new documentary on The Epoch Times called The Shadow State, which takes a closer look at the ESG industry. Previously, he had worked on the 2008 documentary We All Fall Down: The American Mortgage Crisis. His expertise will be quite useful in this matter.

Q&A:

  1. What would you say is the most attractive factor to governance wanting to get involved with corporations? Or is it possibly the other way around?
  2. Who benefits the most from the deal? The government side or the corporate side? Or does it depend on the terms of the deal?
  3. In the documentary The Shadow State, you take a closer look at both the positives and negatives from the industry as a whole, as well as who benefits. Does such a deal benefit the consumers at all?
  4. In the face of inflation and a potential recession, will the ESG industry see any effect? Or is it simply “too big to fail” at this point?
  5. Do you see more deals within the ESG industry taking place over the year? Could that be of any concern to the business world as a whole?
  6. Where can people view The Shadow State? We understand there’s also a DVD release coming soon as well.

The Shadow State is available right now on Epoch TV. Those interested in pre-ordering the DVD for release can do so here.
