Why Is Alvin Bragg Pushing For More YouTube Censorship Against Gun Owners? (Guest: Stephen Willeford)

The spokesman for Gun Owners of America discusses the latest actions of the Soros-backed prosecutor, and how it’s affecting certain YouTubers.

After putting the screws legally to former President Donald Trump, it appears that Soros-backed prosecutor Alvin Bragg is turning his attention to online users of YouTube.

Bragg recently partnered up with Bloomberg’s Everytown in an effort to pressure YouTube to increase censorship of lawful gun content. The Google-owned channel had already put certain rules in place regarding said content, but Bragg somehow made it worse.

Many of these restrictions affect private gun owners, including putting restrictions on instructions for firearms, ammunition, high capacity magazines and other goods. Mind you, these are videos that users are placing online in an effort to educate future gun owners of how to properly prepare them – not to do harm to others.

In addition, YouTube has hindered search options for videos surrounding high capacity magazines in general, as well as videos of machine guns – particular firing techniques for those wanting to learn more about safety.

Many believe this is a violation of free speech, which every American is supposed to have. With that, the Gun Owners of America is pursuing YouTube over the matter, in the hopes of learning more, via public record, about its cracking down on said video content.

Joining us now to discuss this further is Stephen Willeford, the spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. You may recall Willeford being the “hero with a gun” with the Sutherland Springs situation in 2017, in which he’s co-authored a book. His expertise on gun rights make him an ideal interviewee for this subject.

Q&A:

  1. Why do you think Bragg is so determined to push YouTube to ban this gun content, rather than going after criminals in his own area of New York?
  2. Many people deem this content “harmful,” but they actually serve a greater educational benefit, don’t they?
  3. YouTube’s definitely been pushing more for these standard types, yet have no trouble letting other hateful content dwell on their services. How selective does this seem to you?
  4. What are the Gun Owners of America doing in an effort to fight back against YouTube? Are you potentially looking into legal action?
  5. Could this censorship possibly get worse across other types of media as well?
  6. You recently wrote a book called A Town Called Sutherland Springs: Faith and Heroism Through Tragedy, revolving around your 2017 “hero with a gun” situation. Tell us more about how this came together, and why it’s such an important read right now.
  7. Where can people find your book?
    1. You can purchase the book here on Amazon, both in paperback and Kindle format.
  8. Where can we learn more about you, as well as Gun Owners of America?
    1. You can learn more at http://www.thebarefootdefender.com. You can also read more about the Gun Owners of America at https://www.gunowners.org/.
