The spokesman for the Gun Owners of America discusses the importance of this event, and why community outreach is more important than ever before.
With so many states going through a series of assault weapon bans and other outrageous gun rules, it’s vital that the private gun owning community remember that they aren’t alone. There are hundreds and thousands of people being affected by such rules. Fortunately, there are more events meant to celebrate their rights.
One of those events is G.O.A.L.S., or the Gun Owners Advocacy and Leadership Summit. It’s set to take place on August 17th and 18th at the Knoxville Convention Center in Tennessee, and tickets are available now.
“Welcome to GOA’s superior, community-driven convention and expo,” the official description reads.
“Built on member and community feedback, G.O.A.L.S delivers a community-focused, positive event for members and industry partners. Join GOA’s expanding partnerships within the gun industry and steadfastly promote our ‘No Compromise’ stance on the Second Amendment. G.O.A.L.S. provides a unique platform for GOA Members to connect with 2A industry professionals, media and other community members.”
Along with an exhibition hall featuring a number of companies, the event will also be home to various breakout sessions. These feature a variety of guests, including Making the Argument host Nick Freitas; veteran broadcaster Chris Salcedo; The Gun Collective founder Jon Patton; and several more.
Here to talk more about the event is Stephen Willeford, spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. You may recall Willeford being the “hero with a gun” with the Sutherland Springs situation in 2017, in which he’s co-authored a book. His expertise on gun rights make him an ideal interviewee for this subject.
Welcome to the show, Stephen!
