Actions from the past indicate that Harris will have no trouble calling for a ban on “assault weapons” – and the Gun Owners of America spokesman explains why this is a problem.
As the Presidential election heads into the home stretch for early voting, many are wondering how it’ll go, with Donald Trump and Kamala Harris going neck-and-neck.
But the bigger question amongst private gun owners is just what kind of initiative Harris will set if she ends up becoming President.
In the past, Harris has admitted to owning a gun. However, she has not hesitated in the least in anti-gun initiatives, including threatening to visit everyone’s home to make sure their guns are safe and secure.
For that matter, following the tragedy in Georgia back in September, she immediately called for the confiscation of firearms and a ban on “assault weapons” – similar to what Biden did several years prior.
So it begs the question. If Harris is elected, just what kind of attack will commence on the Second Amendment?
Sam Parades is available to speak on this subject, serving as Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America. We welcome him to the show.
Q&A:
- What are your thoughts on Harris’ comments surrounding gun rights thus far? Is she pushing back against private gun owners in the same manner as Joe Biden did?
- Do you think, if elected President, she will continue to pursue anti-gun initiatives? Possibly even an “assault weapons” ban?
- Suppose Gun Owners of America tries to defend the Second Amendment in an effort to push back against such initiatives. How “down and dirty” will Harris go to try and keep said initiatives?
- Why do you think Constitutional-Carry (or Concealed-Carry, as some call it) would be an effective solution against gun violence? What argument would you have for those that believe it would just put “more guns on the street”?
- Where can we learn more about you, as well as Gun Owners of America?
