The founder of El Shaddai Ministries discusses the recent raid, and wonders why the hospital’s director hasn’t been released yet.
As promised in previous weeks, Israel finally commenced an attack against the last major health facility located in north Gaza, shutting down and partially destroying the medical facility.
In the fallout, several staff members, including the director, have been detained by Israeli forces. Several patients remain in the facility, though they are likely to be moved with the hospital’s current condition. Where, however, is not yet known.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has noted that it is “appalled” by the raid and arrests, noting that the “systematic dismantling of the health system” from what took place “puts the lives of the 75,000 Palestinians remaining in the area at risk.”
So, was the raid really necessary as Israel continues its assault on Hamas? And, more importantly, what happens now when it comes to medical care in Gaza?
