The host of the nationally syndicated show It’s Supernatural! discusses the involvement of the U.S. with the plan – and why there’s trouble afoot.
For some time now, the United States – under President Joe Biden – have been pushing for a ceasefire plan between Israel and Hamas as their conflict continues in its eighth month. But just when it appeared they had everything in place to proceed, it’s become what some call “a huge mess.”
Mohamad Elmasry, a professor of media studies for the Doha Institute of Graduate Studies, noted how the U.S. has been “very misleading” about this plan. “Things are very, very convoluted, in part because the U.S. is being very misleading, I think deliberately misleading.”
While the country noted that Israel and Hamas have been on board with the ceasefire plan, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Israel had noted how it will continue to push for supreme victory, and Hamas has its fair share of plans as well, even with its wishes for a “permanent end to the hostilities.”
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is actually visiting Qatar this week in an effort to make amends. However, he’s noted that Hamas’ proposed changes are teetering between “workable” and without resolve. And, as expected, Israel is no closer to a resolution on their side, especially with Biden’s uneasy feelings against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
But this brings up some questions. Is a ceasefire even possible at this point? And even if it is, why is the United States trying to get so heavily involved?
Joining us now to discuss this further is Sid Roth, host of nationally syndicated program It’s Supernatural! His knowledge in what’s happening with this conflict make him an ideal guest for this program. Welcome, Sid!
Q&A:
- What’s your take on this proposed ceasefire plan? Who do you believe it would have benefitted more, if anyone?
- Why are the United States so heavily involved with this plan in the first place? Is Biden trying to “make himself look good” with his re-election? Or are there other motives at play here?
- Do you think Blinken will be able to make any sort of progress on the ceasefire? Or is it pretty much a dead issue at this point?
- Some people are blaming Israel and their stubbornness in refusing to accept anything outside of complete victory over Hamas. What’s your take on this perspective?
- What about Hamas? They seem to have an alarming amount of support within the United States from thousands of protestors. Is this sending the wrong kind of message?
- Where can we find more information about you and your ministry?

About Sid Roth…
In 1971, Sid Roth, a traditional Jew, had a “lifesaving” encounter with Jesus that rocked his world. He experienced the same Presence of God that the Bible says Moses experienced. After the encounter, Sid read the entire Bible and became convinced Jesus is the Jewish Messiah as well as the Messiah for all people. He has made it his passion to share his experience with others. The same Presence of God Sid felt comes on many who hear him share his story.
In fact, Sid also has Israeli citizenship, and has told his story to thousands of Israeli Jews. He has personally witnessed 12,500 Israeli, Ukrainian and Russian Jews make public professions of faith in Jesus as Messiah. Also, many non-believing Jewish people in the audience have experienced physical healing while listening to Sid.
Sid started a nationally-syndicated radio show in 1977 and then a TV show, It’s Supernatural!, that airs worldwide. He is also a best-selling author with over 3 million copies of his books in circulation.
