The Supreme Court Will Let an Injured Police Officer Rightfully Sue a Black Lives Matter Activist (Guest: Michael Letts)

The law enforcement veteran discusses the decision – and why the justices didn’t want to touch it.

The Supreme Court isn’t about to let DeRay Mckeeson get away with his riotous actions against police officers.

It recently rejected an appeal filed by the Black Lives Matter activist, insisting that a lawsuit against him by an injured police officer can proceed. During a July 2016 protest, the officer was hit in the head by a rock or piece of concrete, resulting in the loss of teeth and a brain injury.

Mckesson believes that his actions with the protest are covered by the Constitution’s First Amendment. However, the Court decided that simply isn’t the case, and he must answer for his actions.

He noted in a statement, “People don’t need to be afraid to show up. The Constitution still protects our right to protest.”

But what would have happened if the officer received an even deadlier injury? One that proved to be fatal? Would Mckesson still be pushing for that right?

Joining us now to discuss this plan further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder, and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships.

His expertise in all things law and order make him a great guest for this interview. Welcome, Michael!
