The Supreme Court Will Grant Former President Donald Trump Some Immunity From Criminal Prosecution (Guest: Stephen Strang)

The author of Trump Aftershock: The President’s Seismic Impact on Faith and Culture discusses the decision, and what it means moving forward.

Many were wondering what the Supreme Court would decide in the case surrounding former President Donald Trump’s immunity from criminal prosecution, and the decision has come down.

The Court has ruled that Trump is allowed to claim immunity for some of the actions he took during the conclusion of his presidency. As a result, there’s a possibility that we could see delay from a trial surrounding the federal election subversion charges that are currently being held against him.

This ruling rejects a decision from a federal appeals court in February, one that found Trump enjoyed no immunity for reported crimes committed during his presidency back in 2020, when he attempted to reverse the 2020 election results.

In short, he has presumptive immunity for official acts, but no immunity for “unofficial” acts.

Joining us now to discuss it further is Steve Strang, CEO of Charisma Media and author of Trump Aftershock: The President’s Seismic Impact on Faith and Culture, is here to discuss this matter with us. Welcome, Steve!
