A spokesman for the group discusses the MC9 micro-compact pistol, which is available for pre-order.
The Gun Owners of America are firm believers in everyone’s right to bear arms. And they’re willing to back it up by working alongside the manufacturers at Canik on a pistol of their own.
The group has announced a new Canik Mete MC9 GOA Limited Edition Micro Compact 9mm Pistol, which is now available for pre-order with a $50 discount. It is a collaboration between the two, and comes with special designs approved by the GOA, including signature blue and red colors as the group uses.
Kailey Nieman, who serves as Director of Development for the group, noted, “We are incredibly excited to have GOA and our famous “No-Compromise” branding featured on a Canik product. We can’t thank their team and the folks over at Classic Firearms enough for their continued support.”
In planning for well over three years, the collaboration couldn’t come at a better time, as the group continues to fight for the rights provided by the Second Amendment.
A spokesman for the group joins us now to discuss this further.
Sam Parades is available to speak on this subject, serving as Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America.
Stephen Willeford, the 2017 “hero with a gun” who serves as the spokesman for the Gun Owners of America, is also available.
Q&A:
- What prompted the Gun Owners of America to team up with Canik to make a specialty firearm?
- Why is it so important now to introduce a custom firearm such as this? Was it made with GOA members in mind?
- Does this continue to signify the year that the GOA has had in terms of fighting for the rights of gun owners?
- If successful, could we see future collaborations with other gun types?
- FOR STEPHEN: You recently wrote a book called A Town Called Sutherland Springs: Faith and Heroism Through Tragedy, revolving around your 2017 “hero with a gun” situation. Tell us more about how this came together, and why it’s such an important read right now.
- FOR STEPHEN: Where can people find your book?
- Where can we learn more about you, as well as Gun Owners of America?
- You can learn more at http://www.thebarefootdefender.com. You can also read more about the Gun Owners of America at https://www.gunowners.org/.
