The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) Welcome Sig Sauer As “Major” Corporate Sponsor

A spokesman for the group explains why this team-up is more important than ever, especially with the ongoing discussion of gun rights.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms announced today that it has welcomed a “Major” level corporate sponsor in world-famous firearms manufacturer Sig Sauer. The “Major” rank comes from the CCRKBA’s usage of ranks in the Continental Army, namely Captain, Major, Colonel and Brigadier General.

With this new corporate sponsorship project, the CCRKBA looks to strengthen its ties with its members, as well as those pivotal in the fight for the right to bear arms.

“We just launched the corporate sponsorship project for the Citizens Committee,” said Managing Director Andrew Gottlieb in a statement, “and Sig Sauer was quick to come aboard. “We’re proud to have this level of support from one of the most recognized brands in the firearms industry, and we are looking forward to ramping up our grassroots efforts with Sig Sauer at our side.”

Though the group has made great strides towards litigation, Gottlieb noted, “We also need to strengthen the Second Amendment from a grassroots lobbying standpoint so that litigation isn’t our only option. Industry partnerships like this one are vital to ensure that every American’s Second Amendment rights continue to be protected.”

Tom Taylor, who serves as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales at Sig Sauer, added, “CCRKBA has been around for a long time, but awareness is low regarding its efforts to monitor legislation, conduct grassroots events and build relationships with state Second Amendment groups. We are very proud to support CCRKBA and its primary mission to help all Americans understand the importance of the Second Amendment and its role in keeping Americans free.”

A spokesman for the group joins us now to discuss this further, as well as what other support could come for the CCRKBA in the future.
