The ATF Could Very Well Be Getting a Raise Following Its Push To Ban Pistols With Stabilizing Braces

Gun Owners of America spokesman Stephen Willeford explains why the ATF being rewarded for their efforts is a heavy concern.

This year has been a rough one for private gun owners, especially with the ATF working hard to get handguns with attached stabilizing braces banned.

After many court battles and even a vote where Senate Democrats voted down a joint resolution to block a Biden administration rule to toughen regulations on said braces, it now appears that the Senate is ready to give the ATF a raise for their efforts.

Not only that, but the Senate is also pushing for funding to be pushed up on “red flag” gun confiscation grant programs. You may recall that one of these were used in Minnesota, working as a bribe to get the law passed.

That said, many private gun owners are concerned, as increase in funding towards the ATF and the “red flag” law could result in more hurdles for them to keep their firearms.

Joining us now to discuss this further is Stephen Willeford, a spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. You may recall that Willeford was the “hero with a gun” back in the 2017 Sutherland Springs incident, and he recently co-wrote a book on the subject. His expertise will certainly prove useful in this matter.

Q&A:

  1. Why would the ATF be rewarded for something as severe as banning pistols with attached stabilizing braces?
  2. Couldn’t an increase in that and “red flag” gun confiscation be a serious problem to private gun owners? Especially with the Second Amendment that’s supposed to be protecting them?
  3. What measures are the Gun Owners of America taking to fight back on this matter?
  4. Do you believe that, even if this funding gets vetoed, Biden and his administration will continue to find a way to push back against private gun owners?
  5. You recently wrote a book called A Town Called Sutherland Springs: Faith and Heroism Through Tragedy, revolving around your 2017 “hero with a gun” situation. Tell us more about how you put it together.
  6. Where can people find your book?

You can purchase the book here on Amazon, both in paperback and Kindle format.
