The Joe Biden administration created rules that force educators to excuse absences for students seeking an abortion in addition to forcing professors to use nonsense pronouns like “they” if the student demands it. Two University of Texas professors are pushing back, each filing lawsuits challenging the ruling.
As it is, Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Education Agency to ignore the rules.
The rules are set to go into effect at the beginning of August as an expansion of Title IX.
Rev. Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare, joins us now to examine the lawsuit, what the Biden administration has done, and where we go from here.
Welcome, Jim.
Q&A:
1. What do you know about the new rules that came from the Biden administration.
2. Why would the Biden administration want to have abortion become an excused absence?
3. On day one, President Joe Biden issued an executive order effectively forcing schools to allow boys in girls bathrooms. Why is this administration so obsessed with transgender privileges?
4. Does it seem odd that one on hand, Biden gives transgender people privileges that clearly threatens girls, and on the other hand he claims to help women – though this obviously harms them as well — with abortion?
5. Do we have hope that the courts will back the Texas educators?
6. Tell us about CompassCare and their role in helping mothers and babies – including those who are students.
