Second Amendment Foundation Pushes Back Against Joe Biden’s Call For an “Assault Weapons” Ban With New TV Campaign

A representative talks about the push, and why it’s more important than ever.

In an effort to fight back against President Joe Biden’s push to ban “assault weapons” in the United States, the Second Amendment Foundation has announced a “second wave” of TV ads, with a total of 80 spots set to kick off this week.

Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb noted in a press statement, “We’re hitting the media big time to educate the public because of Joe Biden’s declaration last week that he is going to ban popular semiautomatic rifles ‘Come Hell or High Water’ this year.”

The ad, which can be seen here, is set to run across many high-profile networks, including Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, Headline News Network, the Weather Channel, CNBC, Bloomberg News, BBC America, OANN, American Heroes Channel, Newsmax, the History Channel, Outdoor Channel, Fishing World, the Game Show Network, RFD and Discovery.

“President Biden made it clear he is willing to pull out all the stops to ban the most popular rifle in America today,” Gottlieb added. “That’s why we are ramping up our effort as well. We simply cannot stand by and let Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and their allies in the media and on Capitol Hill push their one-sided anti-gun-rights agenda.

“He’s not trying to run away from his remarks, he has literally doubled down. His obsession with banning firearms should raise alarms across the country, because he’s not just attacking guns, he is waging a war with the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.”

Joining us now is a representative of the Second Amendment Foundation, to discuss the TV campaign further.

Q&A:

  1. Why is President Biden continuing to push for an “assault weapons” ban in spite of the fact that the Second Amendment of the Constitution provides all citizens with the right to bear arms?
  2. Why do you think President Biden is unwilling to listen to any kind of solution involving Concealed-Carry (or Constitutional-Carry, as some may call it)?
  3. How effective do you believe this TV ad campaign will be when it comes to spreading the word about Second Amendment rights to citizens?
  4. What kind of reaction are you expecting from the ad campaign? Do you expect any negative feedback from anti-gun advocates?
  5. Where can people call in to pledge their support to the Second Amendment Foundation?
