Reversing Decline (Guest: Emily Berning)

Project 2025 Seeks to Increase Birth Rates with a Radical Idea

Project 2025 is curiously controversial. The pro-abortion crowd argues that it violates civil rights by protecting babies from being murdered. The truth is that America is also suffering from declining birth rates as a result of abortion. Many of these abortions are the result of fear mongering tactics that terrorize mothers into sterilizing themselves. What’s the best way to reverse these trends? Well, brace yourself for a radical suggestion. American women need to have more babies.

Shockingly, there are people out there who would like you to believe that abortion and fear mongering are not causing decreasing birth rates.

Wait. Wut?

Emily Berning, president and founder of Let Them Live is helping women—many of whom have abortions out of financial fears—do just that!

As President Trump, Vice President Vance and Project 2025 have made clear, increasing America’s birth and fertility rate is a top priority for the current administration. One way to do this is by ensuring that more pregnancies result in live births. Let Them Live has found that when women who receive financial support, coaching, and counseling—the alternative to abortion that they actually want—over 90% will choose life.

What does that mean for America?

If Let Them Live’s model were expanded nationwide, abortions could decrease by 90%, leading to 933,300 more babies born each year. That alone would increase the birth rate from 54.5 births per 1,000 women to 68.7 births per 1,000 women aged 15-44, a figure not seen in decades.

This isn’t just a policy discussion—it’s about shifting the way we support women. As Emily often says, it’s a natural biological instinct for a mother to want to protect, love, and raise her baby. But when she feels trapped in a bad situation—whether financial, relational, or emotional, she often sees no way out. That’s where Let Them Live Steps in.

By offering tangible, real-life support, we:

    •    Empower women to choose life instead of feeling pressured into abortion.

    •    Rebuild trust with those who feel abandoned by the system.

    •  Strengthen families and communities while fueling America’s future workforce and economic growth.

Consider…

  • Increasing live births is key to reversing America’s declining birth rate
  • Let Them Live has saved over 1,000 babies from abortion by offering real alternatives to abortion.
  • The real reasons women choose abortion—and why 90% choose life when given support
