President Biden’s Questionable Actions Against His Own Energy Policy Could Come Back To Haunt Him, Especially With the Petroleum Reserve Getting Lower (Guest: Guy Mitchell)

Author Guy Mitchell explains why Biden’s latest actions towards energy conservation could add up to a big problem.

President Joe Biden and his administration have been pushing heavily with their climate agenda, in the hopes of transitioning from fossil fuels to green energy within the first two years of his stay in office. However, this has led to disastrous results in the past few months, and things might just get worse.

Along with gas prices that have fluctuated to new heights over the summer, the National Energy Assistance Directors Association noted last month that the average cost to heat a U.S. home with all types of fuels could reach a 17.2 percent increase by winter – adding even more to Americans’ struggles in the face of growing inflation.

In addition, Biden has looked to cut back on domestic oil and gas production, instead turning to overseas sources. This also ties in with his recent considerations with possibly lifting human rights sanctions on Venezuelan oil. But this brings a bigger problem, with the United States’ petroleum reserve being at its lowest level in nearly four decades. It was at a height of 726.6 million barrels in 2010. Now, it sits right below 450 million, with Biden continuing to draw one million barrels a day.

Biden’s policy and quest for an oil and fuel alternative is starting to affect Americans, as Dan Kish, a senior with the Institute for Energy Research, explained to Fox News that they were “taking it in the shorts” over Biden’s “war on American affordable, abundant energy.”

Here to speak with us now about the matter is Guy Mitchell, the author of Global Warming: The Great Deception – The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care. His expertise will prove useful in this matter.

Q&A:

  1. In a nutshell, what do you think President Biden is trying to do with his fuel policies? Is he just trying to find a “greener” solution, or simply cut back on America’s resources to find them internationally? Or maybe there’s another plan?
  2. It sounds like gas prices could increase over the course of the winter, including traditional fuels and those used for heating homes. How will this affect so many Americans that are already feeling the crunch of a growing inflation?
  3. How dangerous is it for Biden to rely on overseas sources for support on oil and fossil fuel? Not to mention the dropping levels of his petroleum reserve?
  4. What do you believe Biden will do with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) cutting off supplies to a 2-million-barrel-a-day output?
  5. Kish believes that Biden is the “worst oil and gas-leading president in history.” What’s your take on this statement?
  6. Why do you think Biden is trying to avoid the “abundant resources” available in the U.S. to keep prices down on gas? Is he concerned about his petroleum reserve, or is it another matter?
  7. Tell us more about your latest book, Global Warming: The Great Deception – The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care, and why it’s such a relevant read right now.
