The law enforcement veteran discusses Biden’s radical push for changes to the Supreme Court – but thinks he should focus elsewhere.
As he awaits the conclusion of his current term, President Joe Biden doesn’t appear to be resting easily.
Late Monday afternoon, he called for major changes to Supreme Court reforms, noting that “what’s happening now is not consistent with that doctrine of separation of powers.”
He called for several proposals, including a constitutional amendment stripping the president of immunity for crimes committed while in office, term limits for Supreme Court justices, and a binding code of conduct for the high court. But what’s interesting is that Biden isn’t calling for changes within his own agencies.
Both the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have made several gaffes over the past few years, including spying on innocent Americans over online opinions and the disastrous invasion of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate for private documents. But Biden doesn’t seem interested in calling for change from them – only the higher ups within the Supreme Court.
Is this selective decision making for the sake of popularity? Joining us now to discuss this matter further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt.
