Pastor Jack Hibbs Exposes Culture’s Lies with His New Book

The author of Living In the Daze of Deception discusses what motivated his writing, as well as what readers can expect.

Misinformation is everywhere these days. Media outlets, social channels, and other sources are out to make people believe everything they say. So how can we figure out where the lies come from in culture?

That’s where Pastor Jack Hibbs is ready to help. His groundbreaking new book, Living In the Daze of Deception, is coming in early February; it “emphasizes the importance of discernment in an age rife with error,” according to its description.

Living In the Daze of Deception delves into critical topics, including how to recognize deception, how to respond to misconceptions and untruths, and how to stand strong when the pressure to succumb feels insurmountable.”

With his book, Pastor Jack promises that readers “are not left without the tools necessary to fortify their faith against today’s pressing challenges.” Along the way, Pastor Jack aims to equip Christians with the kind of discernment that gives them a more steadfast faith – even when they are surrounded by deceit.

Pastor Jack joins us now to discuss the book further, as well as what people can expect from it.

Q&A:

  1. First off, tell us about how you came up with the content for your book. What kind of research did you apply when it came to finding the “untruths” that so many people believe upon hearing?
  2. In the book, you discuss a significant shift in the world’s moral foundation. Could you provide some concrete examples of this, and tie them back to your book’s central message?

  7. Let’s talk about media influence, which is a strong theme within your book. What role do media organizations play when it comes to shaping the narratives and public opinions relating to the issues you discuss?
