CINCINNATI (May 18, 2020) – Faith is woven throughout every aspect of the character development, scout-like organization, American Heritage Girls (AHG). Through service, badge work, friendship, and more, faith remains the cornerstone of AHG. Now the ministry is offering a new AHG Build Your Faith Awards Program (B.Y. Faith Awards) — a dynamic tool by which girls can learn and grow in their faith to become lifelong Christ-followers.

“The launch of the new AHG B.Y. Faith Awards Program comes at a time when girls face the daily choice to embrace faith over fear, amid the global COVID-19 pandemic,” said Patti Garibay, AHG’s Founder & Executive Director. “Having a solid faith foundation is more important than ever.”

AHG’s B.Y. Faith Awards Program is comprised of robust devotionals and Bible studies for girls within each Program Level of AHG and does not cater to any one Christian denomination. AHG Troop Leaders can customize the AHG B.Y. Faith Awards Program to fit all of their Girl Members.

The new Faith Awards Program also includes a second track option for Troops — the AHG Catholic Faith Awards. Additionally, AHG also continues to offer P.R.A.Y., a denominationalspecific program to its vibrant choices for girls.

“Girls in today’s world need an anchor to hold on to as they navigate the rough waters of life, and that anchor should be their faith,” Garibay said. “The new AHG Faith Awards Program helps girls realize their identity in Christ and how to live out their faith on a daily basis.”
