Veronica was a young mother of two when she found out she was pregnant with her third child. While a financial strain, her and her husband decided to make it work. She would stay home, and he would be the sole financial provider for the family. After the baby was born, Veronica had her hands full, some postpartum depression, along with financial worry.
That’s when she discovered that she was pregnant with her FOURTH child. Veronica could not do it. The only solution she could think of was abortion. She wasn’t able to emotionally handle it. She definitely wasn’t able to handle it financially. After going into a pregnancy center and getting an ultrasound, she was put in touch with Let Them Live.
Emily Berning, president and founder of Let Them Live says that while Veronica’s story is definitely unique to her personal situation, Let Them Live helps many, many young women avoid abortion in very similar way. With a financial support structure, Let Them Live is able to help young mothers fill those economic holes that often leave them with what they wrongly believe is their only option.
Let Them Live has discovered that so many women only choose abortion because they don’t have the financial means to add another baby to their family. Once those financial gaps are filled, lives are saved, and young children are allowed to live.

Emily Berning is the President and Co-Founder of Let Them Live, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to saving lives from abortion by financially supporting women in crisis pregnancies. She has been involved with the pro-life movement for over 8 years and her greatest passion in life is giving pregnant women the support they need to choose life.
