2007 Video Shows Vice President Threatening to Enter Homes of Law-Abiding Citizens for their Guns
Her words say it all. This is not a question of context. In 2007, while at a press conference with Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris said the following:
“Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you’re being responsible.” – Kamala Harris, 2007
Watch it for yourself:
Harris’s remarks invoke images of a “Kamala Gestapo,” suggesting that the government would intrude into the private sanctuaries of American homes to monitor responsible gun ownership. This is a stark violation of our fundamental rights and an affront to the privacy and autonomy that every citizen deserves.
In a time when our Second Amendment rights are under constant attack, it is crucial that we shed light on these comments and mobilize our community. We must remind our fellow citizens that the right to bear arms includes the right to do so free from government intrusion. The implications of Harris’s statements are clear: they represent a dangerous precedent that could lead to further encroachments on our freedoms.
Let’s use this opportunity to galvanize our supporters, raise awareness, and stand united against any efforts that threaten our rights. Together, we can ensure that every American’s right to protect themselves and their loved ones remains uncompromised.
Sam Parades, another Gun Owners of America spokesman, is available to speak on this subject, serving as Executive Director of the Gun Owners of America.
Stephen Willeford, the 2017 “hero with a gun” who serves as the spokesman for the Gun Owners of America, is also available for interview.
