The law enforcement veteran discusses how the President’s decision to address the verdict is a cheap political move.
In a move that he hopes will help his re-election campaign, President Joe Biden has confirmed that he will address the outcome of the Donald Trump hush money trial, which is now headed to a jury.
Many supports have called out against the President for such a move, despite the fact he’s going to use a “White House setting” in an effort to look less like political motivation.
What’s more, Biden will hold the address regardless of the outcome of the trial, though some sources indicate they’re hoping for a guilty verdict, in an effort to make Biden “look good.”
Is this a cheap political move on part of the President? Joining us now to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt. Letts is President, Founder and CEO of InVest USA, an organization that provides bulletproof vests to police officers through various charitable groups and sponsorships.
His expertise in all things law and order make him a great guest on this particular subject. Welcome, Michael!
Q&A:
- What are your thoughts on Biden pushing to address the outcome of the Trump trial?
- It’s noted he will host it in a “White House setting” to avoid political motivation, but doesn’t that actually seem more political than most?
- Is this just a cheap ploy on the President’s part in an effort to gain momentum in his re-election campaign? Is it even close to enough?
- Should Biden simply “mind his own business” and instead work on resolving his own troubles, such as what’s happening with the ongoing Border Crisis?
- Depending on what his statement is, could Biden be misconstruing parts of the trial in an effort to show what “justice” should look like? Would this be a smart move in any regard?
