USAID Workers and Recipients of Taxpayer Largesse Suddenly Have an issue with Transparency

The American people deserve transparency, especially when it comes to how their tax dollars are spent. Yet, USAID—the agency responsible for distributing billions in foreign aid—has repeatedly failed to provide clear answers about where that money goes and who benefits. Now, with the Department of Government Ethics (DOGE) investigating potential waste, fraud, and abuse, USAID’s response has been anything but cooperative. Instead of embracing accountability, they’re stonewalling investigators, hiding behind bureaucratic red tape, and refusing to answer the tough questions.
