Is the New Barbie Movie Promoting a Trans Agenda?

Free-Filtering.org Michael Lee Mason discusses concerns over the movie, which is set to attain huge box office this weekend.

Warner Bros.’ Barbie has arrived in theaters, and has brought in a massive haul at the box office with over $155 million. But some are concerned over the supposed agenda it might be pushing.

Christian movie review website Movieguide notes that the film abandons “its core audience of families and little girls to instead focus on LGBTQ+ stories.” In addition, a recent Fox News interviewee noted that the film has the “most insidious packaging of feminist cliches and trans grooming that you have ever seen.”

Some people are merely dismissing the criticism and stating to enjoy the movie, but considering how many young kids are seeing it, there may be some that don’t understand what it’s trying to convey.

Speaking with us now about the matter is Michael Lee Mason, the founder of FreeFiltering.org, an internet filtering service that protects children from websites that promote pornography and LGBT lifestyles as healthy. His expertise will certainly be helpful with this topic.

Q&A:

  1. Why do you believe so many people are concerned with a movie such as Barbie transmitting a potential “trans agenda”?
  2. Should this be of concern considering how many young girls (and possibly boys) will see the movie over the weekend?
  3. What does this say about Hollywood’s “woke” approach as of late, and do you think this will continue that onward? Or will the ongoing SAG/AFTRA strike have something to say about that?
  4. What recommendation do you have for those that want to see Barbie this weekend? Perhaps to see Sound of Freedom instead?
  5. Tell us more about FreeFiltering.org, and why you felt the need to put the website together.
  6. Where can people learn more about FreeFiltering.org?
