Iran: No Nuclear Talks if US Doesn’t Meet Our Demands Guest: David Rubin

The battle over Iran’s nuclear program continues with the Biden’s administration’s renewed attempts to restart negotiations with the extreme Islamic regime.

A spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Monday demanded that the US lift sanctions imposed on Iran as part of the talks on a return to the 2015 nuclear deal and also to promise Iran that it will not abandon the deal again.

With these Iran dictating pre-conditions for negotiations, are these talks  heading for an explosion before they even begin?

Here to discuss this is David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel and author of “Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn From Israel”.

Suggested Q&A:

  1. Do such demands indicate the challenge of peaceful relations or should they be a red light for President Biden and his team? They should be a glaring red light in Biden’s confused eyes and a clear sign that the Iranian regime is simply using these talks as a stalling tactic.
  2. Given that the regime is demanding a lot from us just for the privilege of sitting down with them, shouldn’t they be concerned that Biden will send them packing before they even enter the door? Sadly, that’s not the case. The Iranians know how to read weakness and on foreign policy issues at least, Biden has been telegraphing weakness, all the way from Afghanistan to Iran.
  3. What is Israel’s position on this? Israel has been consistently opposing such talks, and certainly these latest demands. Only a firm, no-compromise policy will end the Iranian quest for a nuclear bomb.
  4. What will Israel do if Biden caves in and gives the Iranians what they want? There is no way that negotiations will stop the Islamic regime’s determination to acquire the nuclear bomb. Perhaps the timetable could be adjusted, but they are going full-speed ahead and they have no respect for Biden or Blinken and certainly not Kamala Harris. We are dealing with Muslim radicals and they will not bend through negotiation, especially when they smell weakness. As for Israel’s reaction to all of this, I can assure you, Israel will not let Iran get the nuclear bomb, even if it requires a major pre-emptive military strike.
