Iran Launches Drone Attacks at Israel (Guest: David Rubin)

Late Saturday, Iran sent attack drones — which are still hours away — toward Israel. Israel is prepared to take them down via the Iron Dome, helicopters, or fighter jets.  Iran has threatened to retaliate for an April 1 attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that killed seven of their military commanders.

On Saturday, President Biden, spending the weekend at his Delaware beach house, returned to the White House upon learning of an imminent Iranian attack. As expected, it came.

The White House has vowed to fully support Israel.

Here to discuss the Iran attack and growing tension in the middle east is David Rubin, former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and Founder of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. Welcome, David.

Q&A:

1. Is this attack by Iran more or less than what you expected?

2. Biden has offered full support. In what ways will this likely come?

3. How long before Israel and/or the United States responds? How might they respond?

4. Are other countries showing support for Israel?

5. With the ongoing battle against Hamas, is Israel now spread thin?

6. Is there a chance there will eventually be boots on the ground in Iran?

7. Are you concerned this battle could spread?

8. Might Iran attack again? Is there reason to believe this is just the beginning?

David Rubin, former Mayor of Shiloh Israel, is the author of seven books, including his latest, Confronting Radicals: What America Can Learn from Israel, which has recently been made into a movie. Rubin is the founder and president of Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund, established after he and his then three-year-old son were wounded in a terror attack.
