The pastor of El Shaddai Ministries discusses the recent actions and what could potentially follow as a result.
With peace talks apparently going nowhere between Israel and Hamas, Qatar has decided to stand aside. It will no longer serve as a mediator between the two sides.
The group did note the decision is reversible, provided that Israel and Hamas change their minds and are willing to return to the negotiation table. However, at this point – with attacks still taking place – it’s unlikely they’ll see eye to eye.
In addition, with the move, Hamas is likely to move its offices out of Doha. It’s unknown when this will take place.
Former defense minister Yoav Gallant noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is playing a big part in this, as he believes that he’s keeping the war going more for political reasons, rather than ones surrounding the security in Israel. This could very well be the key factor in the ceasefire negotiations stalling, though it’s not entirely confirmed.
So what happens now? Joining us now to discuss this further is Pastor Mark Biltz, an author and the founder and Senior Pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Washington State. His experience should prove useful in this conversation. Welcome, Mark.
Q&A:
- What does Qatar dropping out of negotiations between Hamas and Israel say for any sort of ceasefire?
- Is it now completely unobtainable? Or is there a chance that the two warring countries could still somehow end up on the same page?
- What does this say for the U.S.’ attempts to get a ceasefire? And for that matter, what does this mean for the hostages?
- What will happen in the months ahead between Israel and Iran, especially with re-elected President Donald Trump returning to the White House?
- You discuss something called the Tribulation quite often. Tell us more about it, and when you think it might take place.
- Tell us more about your work with El Shaddai Ministries.
- We understand we can see your sermons live online. Where can those interested go for further information?
