Author Guy Mitchell explains why these protests towards the end of fossil fuels may have deeper ties towards the climate change agenda.

Protestors continue to take part in extreme acts in an effort to get attention for what’s happening with climate change – but it could have deeper meaning than some people may realize.
Earlier this week, members of an activist group called “Last Generation” threw some kind of “black, oily liquid” onto Gustav Klimt’s “Death and Life” painting, located at the Leopold Museum in Vienne, Austria. After throwing the liquid, the activist then went into a speech discussing the end of fossil fuels.
The event, which led to the arrest of the demonstrators, has created quite an outrage on Twitter, with some noting that “jail’s not enough” of a punishment. However, author Guy Mitchell believes that there’s deeper purpose to this, with the activists being paid by people and organizations with a heavy financial interest in promotion of the fraudulent global warming agenda. (This primarily includes global investment firms.)
Through this “shock event,” the protestors are getting attention about “climate change,” in an effort to try and build up sympathy for it. However, they’re becoming more and more desperate, mainly because of Russian president Vladimir Putin recently forcing the EU to turn to fossil fuels and coal for power needs.
Mitchell, the author of Global Warming: The Great Deception – The Triumph of Dollars and Politics Over Science and Why You Should Care, joins us now to discuss this further. His expertise on this matter should be quite useful.
Q&A:
- What is it about protestors using these sort of “shocking” activities to get attention for their cause? Is this pretty much the only way to get the attention of people in today’s social media climate?
- You believe that these protestors are funded by groups that are trying to create awareness for this “climate change.” How did you go about researching this, and what kind of results did you find?
- Is there a better way to go about discussing what’s happening in the climate, or is this pretty much the only way you think these corporations can get the message across these days?
- Is it fair for them to be labeled “ecoterrorists,” you think? Or does that seem a bit on the extreme side, as part of the sensationalism surrounding the acts they partake in?
- How do you think these events are conceived to begin with? Or is it hard to say depending on who’s involved?
