The law enforcement veteran discusses the nominee’s stance on criminal activity, and why she may not be so “tough” after all.
Kamala Harris has made it clear that she’s fit to be the next President of the United States, with Vice President nominee Gov. Tim Walz by her side. But through this, some are questioning if she’s truly ready – especially when it comes to fighting crime.
She’s noted in her campaign that she’s “tough on crime,” and vows to “put murderers and abusers behind bars.” However, according to Law Enforcement Today, a peek into her history indicates anything but this.
Harris has been known to grant many “lenient plea deals” for a number of criminals, including a serial domestic abuser who would later kill his girlfriend. This is just one of the cases involving numerous deaths and other assaults.
What’s more, during the “defund the police” campaign following George Floyd’s death in 2020, she pushed for donators to give to the Minneapolis Freedom Fund, in the hopes of freeing criminals. This comes on the heels of a Minneapolis police precinct being burnt to the ground.
So could Harris’ stance on being “tough on crime” be bogus? Joining us now to discuss this further is Michael Letts, a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience under his belt.
