Intro: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo finally relented and partially reversed his bad policy of what a Chaplain called ‘killing the elderly in nursing homes,’ by forcing them to admit new COVID-19 patients, after the nursing-home Chaplain (and the NY Post) ran a PR campaign against him. Q. Why does New York State have 10 times as many deaths from COVID-19 as California?
A. 70% of New York’s COVID related deaths are in nursing homes. After weeks of public pressure orchestrated by Chaplain Klingenschmitt, (and the NY Post), Governor Cuomo partly reversed his bad policy of forcing new patients into otherwise healthy nursing homes. He killed the elderly by endangering them with cross-contamination from outside.
Q. Chaplain, what did you do to put pressure on Cuomo?
A. As a certified nursing home chaplain, I began a PR campaign with 4 national radio interviews, 4 TV networks, and 20,000 emails to my friends, giving out Cuomo’s phone number of 518-474-8390, so people could call him to say “stop killing nursing home residents by forcing ANY new patient admissions with coronavirus,” and now adding, “even if they’re not being sent from hospitals anymore.”
Q. You say Cuomo has only partially reversed his bad policy, how so?
A. Cuomo overruled his state health care chief Howard Zucker’s order by no longer requiring hospitals transfer new COVID cases into nursing homes, but the problem is they’re still being transferred into nursing homes from everywhere else.
Q. Two NY Congressmen, Reed and Stefanik, are calling for a federal investigation of Cuomo. What do they want?
A. Rep. Elise Stefanik, (R-NY) tweeted, “Today I joined my [New York GOP] colleagues in the House to call for a federal investigation of Cuomo’s failed nursing home policies. NOW they admit they unethically changed the way they report nursing home deaths. An INEXCUSABLE tragedy for NY — NEED ANSWERS.”
Q. You received a heartbreaking letter from a ministry partner whose Mom is in a NY nursing home. What did she write to you?
A. K.H. wrote to Chaplain Klingenschmitt,
“Governor Cuomo deliberately forced the nursing homes and elderly care facilities to take in known Corona Virus Cases right inside their facilities. As a result, many elderly people are dying of the Corona Virus deliberately planted in their facilities by the ‘so-called Board of Health’ and Cuomo. Probably they have done the same in MA and other states to murder the elderly, drive up their death totals, get more Federal Government Aid, and stop having to pay Social Security.
“My own mother is in Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. They were forced by Governor Cuomo to close one whole wing of their building — moving elderly patients to another wing and putting Corona Virus people right into the building endangering the staff and patients. There is no excuse for this because Dutchess Stadium [and USNS Comfort] and other places could have taken the Corona Virus Patients. I cannot visit my own mother because of the chance of germs or virus but they can deliberately move know Corona Virus people into the same building.
“A friend of mine has a daughter who works in a nursing home in Westchester, NY. Cuomo made them take corona virus patients in. As a result, the elderly people her daughter took care of are all infected with the Corona Virus and are dying.

Q. What should people do?
