‘Civil War’ Brewing in Virginia as Gov. Ralph Northam Faces ‘Insurrection’ by Sheriffs REFUSING To Enforce Gun Confiscation!

Virginia Rep. Donald McEachin (D-4th District) suggests that gun-grabbing Governor Ralph Northam might call up the National Guard to enforce gun control laws passed in 2020 if the Virginia county commissions and sheriffs will not.

This courageous stand by pro-Constitution sheriffs and commissioners has, at least for now, caused Virginia Democrats to back down from their gun confiscation proposal, according to the Washington Free Beacon that credited the reversal to a statewide outpouring of opposition to gun control.

But how long might this ‘cease-fire’ last?

Available to be your Talk Show interview guest, answering this question and more, are three expert guests from the 2nd Amendment Foundation who suggest that the gun-grabbing politicians will probably only hold off until they believe this hotbed issue has cooled down and the citizens of Virginia  have calmed down and returned to a state of lethargy. They point to last November’s lame 40% voter turnout, showing many gun owners sitting out the election, and how that only emboldens liberal politicians to exploit such apathy to totally disarm the populous, shred the Constitution and usher in a totalitarian state.

Apathy apart, your gun-rights guest applauds Culpepper Virginia County Sheriff Scott Jenkins who told Fox News he will go so far as to deputize residents in his county to fight this unconstitutional power grab if it rears its ugly head again.

Q&A:

1) How will Culpepper County Sheriff Jenkins go about deputizing enough residents to counter any government gun grab?

Answer: “They will properly vet the citizens through a normal process used in adding deputy sheriffs

2) Give us an example.

Answer: The County Sheriff will do everything from normal background checks that we do for other deputy sheriffs as well as psych evaluations.

3) So, it’s not just a blanket policy of swearing-in anyone who is interested?

Answer:  Clearly not. Sheriff Jenkins explained this is not the case during his interview on Fox & Friends recently, inferring that his office will act responsibly and diligently and expeditiously.

4) According to the National Review, the 93 counties involved in the Sanctuary movement represent about 40 percent of the population in Virginia.

Answer: Numbers like this are a start but they may not impress hardened cold-hearted anti-gun Democrats or the governor, who seem intent on passing new restrictions in the wake of this year’s mass shooting at Virginia Beach, regardless of consequences and no matter what the U.S. Constitution or Bill of Rights has to say.

5) This has been called to possible makings of a civil war. What are your thoughts on this?

Answer: The kind of “civil war” now brewing in Virginia may not be the shooting kind, but it is likely to be a noisy affair with plenty of shouting.

6) In the unlikely event this actually turned into a full fledged civil war, who would liberals who don’t own guns ever expect to win a war against conservatives, many whose households have multiple firearms and ammunition?

Answer: I think I’ll let you answer that question yourself.

7) Where may we get more information on this and other gun rights topics?

Answer: SAF.org

Bonus question if time permits:

8) What other 2nd Amendment Rights topics are in the news, or should be in the news?

Answer One other hotbed issue involving gun control is in Washington State where an online petition calling for the impeachment of anti-gun Gov. Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson has garnered tens of thousands of signatures. While it has no force in law, the petition does reflect discontent with both officials for their anti-gun-rights actions.
